Overview#

Grail is a pump.fun launchpad for memecoins whose creator fees sweep graded Pokémon cards.

Every coin launched on Grail is created on pump.fun and priced in $CARDS, Collector Crypt's token, instead of SOL. At launch, the launcher pairs the coin with one collection, such as Charizard or PSA 10. Each collection has its own public sweep wallet.

The same launch transaction routes 100% of the coin's creator fee to that sweep wallet through pump.fun's own fee-sharing program, and pump.fun locks the split as it is set. Trading happens on pump.fun. Every buy and sell pays a creator fee in $CARDS, and creator fees sweep graded cards from the collection into the wallet, in public.

Quick start#

From idea to a live coin in one signature.

  1. 1
    Connect a Solana wallet
Use the wallet button in the header. You need a little SOL to cover the network cost.
  2. 2
Name your coin and pick a collection
On Launch, set a name, a ticker and an image, then choose the collection your coin's creator fees will sweep.
  3. 3
    Sign once
One transaction creates the coin and locks its fee split to the collection's sweep wallet. See what you sign.
  4. 4
    Trade on pump.fun
Your coin lists on Grail once its split is confirmed on chain. Buying and selling happens on pump.fun; Grail links to it from every coin page.
03

Launching#

A launch is a single transaction with four instructions. It all lands, or none of it does.

You sign the launch yourself, so you are the coin's creator on pump.fun. What makes it a Grail coin is what happens next in the same transaction: the creator fee is handed to a fee-sharing config, and that config is pointed at the sweep wallet for good.

What you sign#

Step by step#

  1. 1
    The coin is created
create_v2 creates the coin on a pump.fun bonding curve, quoted in $CARDS. You are the curve's creator.
  2. 2
A fee-sharing config takes over the creator fee
pump.fun's fee program creates the coin's fee-sharing config, and the curve's creator becomes that config. From here on, the coin's creator fee accrues to the config rather than to a wallet.
  3. 3
The config vault gets a $CARDS account
Because fees are paid in $CARDS, the config's vault needs a $CARDS token account to hold them until they are distributed.
  4. 4
Shareholders are set, and the split locks
The shareholders become a single entry: the collection's sweep wallet at 10000 bps. pump.fun's program revokes the config's admin on this first update.
04

The fee split#

pump.fun's own program holds the split, and it can only be set once.

A fee-sharing config lists shareholders and their shares in basis points. A Grail coin's config has exactly one shareholder, the collection's sweep wallet, at 10000 bps. That is the whole split.

How locking works#

When the config is created, it has an admin that can update its shareholders. pump.fun's program revokes that admin on the first update. Grail's launch makes that first update itself, setting the sweep wallet at 100%, so the split locks the moment it is written.

Who can change it#

  • The launcher cannot. The admin they briefly held is revoked by the first update.
  • Grail cannot. Grail never held the admin.
  • The sweep wallet cannot. Being a shareholder gives no right to edit the split.
  • pump.fun keeps its own community-takeover authority over coins on its platform. That is the only override left.
05

Creator fees#

Every trade pays a creator fee in $CARDS, and all of it goes to the sweep wallet.

Grail coins are priced in $CARDS, Collector Crypt's token and an approved pump.fun base currency. Since trades settle in $CARDS, the creator fee on every buy and sell is paid in $CARDS too.

Distribution#

Creator fees accrue in the fee-sharing config's vault until pump.fun's distribution pays them out to the shareholders. Distribution is permissionless: anyone can run it, and it can only pay the shareholders in the config. Grail runs it regularly, so the $CARDS lands in the sweep wallet.

06

Sweeping cards#

Creator fees sweep graded Pokémon cards from the coin's collection.

Each sweep wallet sweeps cards from its own collection, so a Charizard coin's fees sweep Charizard cards. Many coins can pair with the same collection; their fees all land in that collection's one wallet. Cards stay in the sweep wallet once swept.

Coins → sweep wallets → cards
  • 3 coins→Charizard sweep wallet→Charizard cards
  • 2 coins→Pikachu sweep wallet→Pikachu cards
  • 3 coins→Umbreon sweep wallet→Umbreon cards
Illustrative coins. Each collection has exactly one sweep wallet, shared by every coin paired with it.

Graded and vaulted#

Every card a sweep wallet can sweep is:

  • Graded by a grading company such as PSA, CGC or Beckett.
  • Vaulted and insured by Collector Crypt, which holds the physical card.
  • Tokenized on Solana as a pNFT or a Metaplex Core asset, so it can sit in a wallet like any other token.

Marketplaces#

Cards are swept from listings on Collector Crypt's marketplace and Magic Eden. Listings are priced in USDC or SOL, so $CARDS may be converted to SOL or USDC to pay for them.

07

Collections#

12 collections, each with its own public sweep wallet.

The Vault#

Every sweep wallet and every card swept, in one public place.

11

Risks#

Plainly stated. Read these before you launch or trade.

Memecoins are volatile

Prices can fall fast and to zero. Only trade what you can lose.

Card prices move

Graded card values go up and down, like any collectible market.

Sweeping depends on volume

Cards are swept with creator fees, and creator fees come from trading. No volume, no sweeps.

pump.fun's takeover authority

pump.fun keeps its own community-takeover authority. The locked split does not remove it.

Custody by Collector Crypt

The physical cards are vaulted and insured by Collector Crypt, so you rely on it to hold them.

Glossary#

$CARDS
Collector Crypt's token, and an approved base currency on pump.fun. Every Grail coin is priced in it, so creator fees are paid in it.
Base currency
The token a pump.fun coin trades against. Most coins use SOL; Grail coins use $CARDS.
Bonding curve
pump.fun's pricing curve. Buys and sells trade against it, and each trade pays a creator fee.
create_v2
The pump.fun instruction that creates a coin, with the base currency of your choice.
Creator fee
The share of each pump.fun trade that goes to the coin's creator. On Grail the creator is the coin's fee-sharing config.
Fee-sharing config
An account owned by pump.fun's fee program that splits a coin's creator fee between shareholders.
Shareholder
An address in a fee-sharing config, with a share in basis points. Grail coins have exactly one.
bps
Basis points. 10000 bps is 100%.
Admin revoked
The config's admin authority is gone, so its shareholders can no longer be changed. pump.fun revokes it on the first update.
Distribution
The permissionless pump.fun call that pays out a config's accrued fees to its shareholders.
Sweep wallet
A public wallet, one per collection. It receives 100% of the creator fee of every coin paired with that collection, and holds the cards it sweeps.
Collection
A slice of Collector Crypt's graded Pokémon cards, like Charizard or PSA 10. Each coin pairs with one.
Graded card
A card authenticated and graded by a grading company such as PSA, CGC or Beckett, sealed in a slab.
Collector Crypt
The platform that vaults, insures and tokenizes graded cards on Solana.
pNFT / Metaplex Core
The two Solana token standards Collector Crypt tokenizes cards with.
Community takeover
An authority pump.fun keeps over coins on its platform. It is the one override the locked split does not remove.

FAQ#

Can the launcher change where the creator fee goes?

No. The launcher sets the split once, inside the launch transaction, and pump.fun's program revokes the config's admin on that first update. From then on the split cannot be edited by the launcher, by Grail or by the sweep wallet.

Does Grail take a cut of the fees?

No. There is no protocol cut. 100% of the creator fee, 10000 bps, goes to the collection's sweep wallet.

Why is the coin priced in $CARDS rather than SOL?

$CARDS is Collector Crypt's token and an approved pump.fun base currency. Pricing the coin in $CARDS means every creator fee is paid in $CARDS, the token of the platform the cards are vaulted on.

Do I have to buy my coin at launch?

No. There is no first buy at launch on Grail. Once the coin is live, buy it on pump.fun like any trader.

Can a coin sweep more than one collection, or switch later?

No. A coin pairs with exactly one collection at launch, and its whole creator fee goes to that collection's sweep wallet. Because the split is locked, the pairing is permanent.

Where do the swept cards go?

They stay in the sweep wallet. Every card swept is listed on the Vault page with its transaction. The physical cards are vaulted and insured by Collector Crypt.

What happens if nobody trades a coin?

Creator fees come from trading, so no volume means no fees and nothing for that coin to sweep with.

How do I know a coin on Grail is set up the way this page says?

Grail lists a coin only after reading its fee-sharing config on chain and confirming one shareholder, the sweep wallet at 100%, with the admin revoked. You can read the same account yourself: see Verify on chain.

Can anyone override the split?

Only pump.fun, through its own community-takeover authority, which it keeps over coins on its platform. Grail cannot remove that, and neither can the launcher.
